STEM Grant Application
The Rocky Mountain Chapter of AFCEA awards grants to K-12 teachers in El Paso County, Pueblo, and surrounding communities for their STEM programs and classrooms. The objective of AFCEA is to promote the advancement of technology-related programs in areas of importance to the future growth of humankind. The intention is to encourage students to pursue careers in science, technology, and mathematics.
Teachers are awarded grants to purchase:
Supplies and other science or math-related materials and classroom manipulatives
Hardware and/or software intended for STEM-related instruction
Materials for upgrades to existing programs or to start new STEM programs
STEM kits (robotics, cyber, rocketry, drones, etc.)
Projects deemed appropriate to further excellence in STEM
The criteria for these grants are:
Be a teacher at an accredited school in El Paso County and surrounding communities, including Pueblo
Identify an appropriate use of funds based on the areas listed above
Submit the attached application form with all seven areas fully completed no later than 30 April 2026
After award, provide receipts verifying the grant was used for the approved purpose
No grant request is too small to fund, but typically we award grants in the $2,000 - $5,000 range. Our goal is to positively impact as many students as possible. To accomplish this we reward teachers across our community from elementary to high school with emphasis on total number of students benefiting from the grant.
Grant awards are not limited to one per school, so please encourage all STEM teachers to take advantage of this program.
Please contact education@afcearockymtn.org with questions.
